The Montbell Logger Frame Pack is a modular load carrying system designed for remote forestry and rail teams operating in challenging terrain. Developed to address occupational health and safety concerns associated with manually transporting heavy equipment, it provides a practical solution for carrying tools and supplies over long distances.

Built around a modular aluminium frame, the system allows users to switch between a chainsaw load carrying configuration and a gear container configuration as the pack is supplied with both the Kit Hall Bag and the Chainsaw Bag (as well as the frame). The frame is designed to stand independently for added stability and convenience, and both configurations have been tested to carry loads of up to 40 kg.

Frame Construction and Carry Comfort

The aluminium frame is combined with a 420-denier Ballistic® nylon ripstop body with urethane coating and an EVA foam back panel. An adjustable shoulder harness accommodates three back lengths, supported by a reverse-pull waist belt for fine-tuning fit when wearing bulky clothing. A height-adjustable chest strap helps stabilise the load, while a breathable back panel assists with ventilation. Two hip belt pockets provide storage for small items, with additional hooks included for securing accessories.
